• Milwaukee County Transit System riders weigh options as agency looks at 25% service reduction (tmj4.com) — Milwaukee County Transit System is weighing two ways to cut bus service by 25%, and one of the key public input meetings will be at Wauwatosa Public Library's Firefly Room on Oct. 1. Riders are being asked whether they prefer fewer, more frequent routes or wider coverage with less frequent buses, and their feedback will help shape what proposal goes to the County Board in January.
• Milwaukee police union president says 'truth' will come out as public awaits footage of fatal shooting of Printis Smith by officer (milwaukeecourier.com) — An investigation unit within the Wauwatosa Police Department is reviewing the fatal Milwaukee police shooting of 23-year-old Printis Smith, as the public awaits release of bodycam footage by Sept. 23.
