Purple Chevy Cavalier-Driving Bank Robber Caught by Police After Tipster Sees Photos Online
Because of you, the reader, a bank robbery suspect in Wauwatosa has been arrested.

WAUWATOSA, WI — With the help of a tipster who saw surveillance photos posted online in a news report, Wauwatosa police have arrested a suspect in the Wauwatosa BMO Harris bank robbery that occurred on Jan. 27.
That suspect, James W. McDonald, was located and arrested Tuesday afternoon by Wauwatosa police. He has confessed to the robbery and the vehicle used has been located and admitted to working alone. No one else is being sought. He is expected to be officially charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court this week. No criminal complaint has been issued at this time.

On January 27 just after 4 p.m., a male subject walked into the BMO Harris Bank, 9210 W. North Ave. The subject approached a teller, handed the teller a note indicating this was robbery and demanded money.
The subject obtained money and fled from the bank. No weapon was displayed.

McDonald reportedly fled the area in a late 90’s blue or purple Chevy Cavalier with blue dealer plate on the back.
