Charges Brought Against Two Accused in Wauwatosa Armed Robbery Spree
Police say two Milwaukee men responsible for armed robberies at Pizza Hut, Mobil in Wauwatosa and two other Milwaukee locations in early May

WAUWATOSA — Police say they have arrested and charged two Milwaukee men who went on an armed robbery spree in Wauwatosa and nearby Milwaukee in early May.
Markanthony Harris and Deshireo Rivers have both been charged with six county of Armed Robbery - party to a crime and face up to 150 years behind bars and $600,000 in fines.
Harris is currently being held in the Milwaukee County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond, Harris on a $150,000 cash bond.
May 4
On May 4, police say the two men staged an armed robbery at the Pizza Hut at 517 Glenview Ave. in Wauwatosa at 10:39 p.m. According to the complaint, one of the men pointed a gun at the cashier and demanded he open the safe. The two men removed cash from the employee's register and left before the safe could be opened. They left with an unspecified amount of money.

Twenty minutes later on May 4, police say the two men came into the Mobil Mart, 8806 W. North Ave in Wauwatosa. Police say that both men displayed firearms. They reportedly demanded and received an unspecified amount of money and cigarettes before running off.

Two days later on May 6, police say both men staged another armed robbery at the Little Caeser's Pizzeria at 3161 S. 76th in Milwaukee at about 10:45 p.m. According to their criminal complaint, the men ordered store employees to open the safe and also remove money from the cash registers before leaving.
45 minutes later on May 6, police say the two men came into Scotty's Pizzeria, 9808 W. Oklahoma Ave. in Milwaukee after 11:30 p.m. and staged an armed robbery. Store employees could not empty the safe, and the cash register was empty so the two suspects demanded employees empty their pockets of their belongings in order to come up with cash.
Arrests Made
On May 7, 2016, police executed a search warrant on a Jeep that lists to defendant Rivers.
Police say they found stolen cell phones in the glove box. They found a holster for a semi-automatic pistol in the engine compartment. West Allis police had chased the Jeep when it fled from them earlier that day; during that incident they were able to see that Rivers was the driver.
Police arrested Harris on May 13, Rivers on May 11, after gathering evidence from the scenes.
