The Common Council has chosen to use an independent committee to ensure that maps are fairly and equitably drawn. The Milwaukee County Independent Redistricting Committee is available to all Milwaukee County municipalities at no cost. The independent committee consists of six retired judges. They will schedule a public hearing to receive public comment regarding the proposed redistricting map at a future date. The Common Council will have final approval over the recommended maps.
More 2020 Census population results will be available later including statistics on age, sex, race and ethnicity, and details about the population.
