Topics this week during city meetingsΒ include:
- Plan Commission (November 8, 6:00 pm) will have a public hearing for a conditional use permit at 6538 W. North Avenue for an eating establishment (Delicious Bites, LLC). They will also consider a request by Irgens for a land division at 10701 Research Drive, proposed amendments to modify split-zoned parcels, and a memo regarding parameters for withdrawal of zoning applications by applicants.
- Government Affairs (November 9, 6:00 pm) will talk about a tentative agreement with the Wauwatosa Professional Firefighters Association, new ward and aldermanic district maps, no-knock warrants, and an ordinance allowing future use of virtual or hybrid meeting formats.
- Transportation Affairs (November 9, 6:30 pm) will talk about support for a federal consolidated rail infrastructure and safety improvements grant, removal of parking at various locations along W. North Avenue from Mayfair Road to Swan Boulevard, adding bike lanes on Watertown Plank Road and Harwood Avenue between Glenview Avenue and N. 86th Street and off-road trail options between Glenview Avenue and 87th Street, and adding bike lanes on N. 68th Street between Honey Creek Parkway and Wisconsin Avenue.
- Community Affairs (November 9, 7:30 pm) will talk about an ordinance related to entering or staying upon streets, and amendments to ordinances related to zoning protest petitions and supermajority votes for zoning amendments
- Financial Affairs (November 9, 7:30 pm) will talk about benefit contract renewals for health insurance, dental insurance, and stop loss, an amendment to TID #6 2021 and 2022 budget and approval of necessary contracts related to the Irgens commercial building development, final review of the 2022 Capital Fund Budget, final review of the 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Plan, and approval of a term sheet including tax increment financing with General Capital for a multi-family residential development at the Western Building Products site (1300 Glenview Place).

Meeting Format
The Common Council passed a resolution to have hybrid city meetings. This means that the elected officials and public may attend in person or virtually, under a few conditions: universal mask use, physical distancing, staying home if sick, and a virtual option for high-risk individuals.
