Committees will discuss the format of city meetings, an update on Bird's dockless scooter program, and the Community Service Officer Program to be included in the 2022 budget

Topics this week during city meetings include:

• Government Affairs (September 14, 6:00 pm) will talk about:
  • eliminating certain licenses
  • Tourism Commission Annual Report
  • an operator's license application by Amber M. Morris for review
  • police reports regarding Ferch's Crafthouse Grille, Jojo's Martini Lounge, and Jackson's Blue Ribbon Pub
  • permanent use of hybrid meetings for members, staff, and the public
  • extending the hybrid meeting format
• Transportation Affairs (September 13, 7:00 pm) will discuss:
  • modifying an existing 90-day trial establishing parking regulations on 89ths Street and 90th Street from Wright Street to Meinecke Avenue
  • an update and presentation on Bird's dockless scooter program
  • a request to implement a parking study in the Village area
• Community Affairs (September 14, 8:00 pm) will discuss Community Development Authority's annual report and an amendment of our municipal code relating to dangerous and vicious dogs.
• Financial Affairs (September 14, 8:00 pm) will talk about:
  • Community Service Officer Program to be included in the 2022 budget
  • recommendation ordering of all 2022 Fleet purchases in advance of approval of the 2022 budget
  • a request to repurpose 2021 Capital Budget funding for purchase of equipment
  • a request recommending a 2021 cost of living adjustment for non-represented employees
  • approval of initial authorizing and parameters resolutions for the 2021 bond issuance

Meeting Format

Meetings may be all virtual or in a hybrid format. Please look at the individual agendas to see the meeting format for that specific meeting. For hybrid meetings, in-person attendance shall be open only to elected officials, city staff, and no more than four applicants that are named on meeting agendas.
