Topics this week during city meetingsΒ include:
- Common Council (September 20, 7:30 pm) will talk about:
- approving a conditional use at 6933 W North Avenue for a seasonal outdoor seating/parklet at The FermentoriumΒ
- approving a land combination at 8520 W North Avenue and 8524 W North Avenue for Lion's Tail Brewing Co.
- approving a conditional use permit at 8520 W North Avenue, 8524 W North Avenue and 2315 N. 85th Street for a drinking establishment (Lion's Tail Brewing Co.)
- approving a conditional use permit at 8807 W North Avenue for an eating and drinking establishment
- updating our municipal code related to dangerous and vicious dogs
- approving the advanced purchase of 2022 fleet vehicles and equipment
- approving the repurposing of the 2021 Fire Department Capital Budget for the purchase of radios and automated CPR devices
- approving a one-time cost of living adjustment payment or non-represented employees and authorizing a level three fund transfer for such purpose
- authorizing general obligation bonds for street improvement projects, parking lot projects, parks and public grounds projects, construction of police facilities, water system improvement projects, and other bonds
- allowing increased in person attendance at meetings and extending the use of hybrid meeting formats through January 4, 2022
- Committee of the WholeΒ (September 23, 5:30 pm) will discuss the internal governance structure and key focus areas for American Rescue Plan Act funds.

Meeting Format
Meetings may be all virtual or in a hybrid format. Please look at the individual agendas to see the meeting format for that specific meeting. For hybrid meetings, in-person attendance shall be open only to elected officials, city staff, and no more than four applicants that are named on meeting agendas. We will also be physically distanced and within recommended room capacity for each meeting room. Read more about this meeting format decision.
