You are cordially invited to attend a community conversation on the “Future of Public Education” to be held on September 10th from 7 - 9 pm at Helfaer Hall at Mount Mary University.
Come and learn about challenges that public education is facing in Wisconsin, and bring your ideas for increasing support for public education.
Join the discussion that will follow the panel presentations A panel of experts — State Senator and Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor John Lehman (a former high school history and economics teacher), Wauwatosa West High School math teacher Cathy Razner, Milwaukee School Board member and “Rethinking Schools” editor Larry Miller, former Institute for Wisconsin’s Future Research Director Jack Norman and Forward Institute Chairman Scott Wittkopf — will then weigh in with their own unique perspectives. Following the presentations there will be time for discussion led by Jeff Pertl, senior policy advisor at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (and a graduate of Wauwatosa public schools).
