Suspicious Man Eludes Police

On June 21, at about 5:30 a.m., a silver 2013 Ford Edge eluded police during a traffic stop. The vehicle was reported as a suspicious call involving a suspect who was walking up and looking into vehicles. The first suspect was described as a man between five-foot-seven and five-foot ten with a medium complexion and a thin build. He was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt. The driver was described as a 25 to 30 year old man with a dark complexion, short black hair. Attempted contact with the vehicle's registered owner yielded no further information.

Copper Thief Steals $2,000

On June 22, a manager from the Altius Building Company notified police that sometime between 5:15 p.m. on June 21 and 7 a.m. on June 22, an unknown suspect stole four spools of copper wire from the company's construction site at 2100 N. Mayfair Road. the estimated loss was $2,000.
