When Success is Significant: the Calling of a Servant Leader

Mount Mary College will offer a free lecture on diversity issues on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at 7 p.m. in Stiemke Hall, located on the second floor of Notre Dame Hall on Mount Mary’s campus. The event is open to the public.

The lecture, “When Success is Significant: the Calling of a Servant Leader” will be presented by Antionette Mensah.  With 25 years of professional experience focused on leadership, diversity and youth development, Ms. Mensah believes service is vital to continued personal and professional growth.  She maintains an active life of service in her church and community.

Ms. Mensah is a native of Ghana, West Africa and is currently working on her doctorate in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service from Cardinal Stritch University.

This lecture is part of Mount Mary’s Foley-Poehlman Diversity Lecture Series, which aims to broaden discussion around diversity and how it impacts our lives. The series is named for long-time Mount Mary College professors Sister Mary Briant Foley, SSND, (history, retired) and Sister Joanne Poehlman, SSND (anthropology). The series is funded by the Mother Caroline Mandate Fund of the School Sisters of Notre Dame with additional support from Mount Mary College.
