Family of Man Shot by Police Looking for Answers
Authorities have yet to release additional information after 25 year old man fatally shot by police in Wauwatosa

WAUWATOSA -- Jay Anderson, 25, was fatally shot by Wauwatosa police at about 3 a.m. Thursday at Madison Park.
Family and loved ones haven't heard anything new on the case and are searching for information.
"If it was just him being in the park, how did it go so wrong so fast?" Shawn Moore, a family friend, said Saturday to the Journal Sentinel.

According to initial reports earlier this week, Wauwatosa police were investigating a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot near Madison Park saw it was occupied by a person with a gun.

The officer "fearing for his safety discharged his own weapon striking that person," Weber said initially said.
Wauwatosa police referred the case to Milwaukee police to fulfill a state law that requires a team of at least two investigators from an outside agency to lead investigations of officer-involved deaths, according to the Journal Sentinel.
