What: Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers will kick off a celebration to mark the official grand opening of the new Kathyβs House near the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Wauwatosa campus. Kathyβs House has provided affordable lodging and caring support to about 1,500 people annually who need to stay in Milwaukee for medical care.
Why: The event celebrates the donors, guests, staff, construction workers and other supporters who made the new 36-room House possible. With twice the capacity and many more amenities than the previous location, Kathyβs House can better meet the growing demand for its services. This βhome away from homeβ is a critical link in the healthcare supply chain, represented by president & CEO Patty Metropulos on the Governorβs Health Equity Council.
