What: Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers will kick off a celebration to mark the official grand opening of the new Kathy’s House near the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Wauwatosa campus. Kathy’s House has provided affordable lodging and caring support to about 1,500 people annually who need to stay in Milwaukee for medical care.

Why: The event celebrates the donors, guests, staff, construction workers and other supporters who made the new 36-room House possible. With twice the capacity and many more amenities than the previous location, Kathy’s House can better meet the growing demand for its services. This β€œhome away from home” is a critical link in the healthcare supply chain, represented by president & CEO Patty Metropulos on the Governor’s Health Equity Council.
