'Long Arm of the Law' Nabs Suspected Cocaine Dealer
Quick actions by Wauwatosa Police Officer makes sure fleeing suspect doesn't get away.

WAUWATOSA — The old adage "the long arm of the law" took on new life after police say they arrested a suspected cocaine dealer.
According to police, Dominique Taylor, 21, Milwaukee, was the passenger when the vehicle he was in was pulled over near the 4200 block of North 92nd St. on April 29 for speeding about 60 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone.
According to his criminal complaint, when police approached the vehicle, Taylor tried to hide a text message conversation on his cell phone, and also excitedly stated "no," when police asked the driver if there was any drugs in the car.

Both Taylor and the driver consented to a physical search. At that point, a bag containing 2.5 grams of apparent cocaine base fell out of Taylor's pant leg and onto the ground, the complaint said.
When the officer told Taylor he was under arrest, he tried running south on N. 92nd St. The officer reached out, catching the leg of the fleeing Taylor. The officer was able to reach and tackle Taylor to the ground and "deliver a focus strike to the shoulder/neck area of Taylor to gain compliance."
