5 Shootings in Milwaukee in 24 Hours Including 1 Homicide, 1 Facebook Dispute

Milwaukee police are investigating 5 shootings on Oct 6, including one where a man fired into a group of people over a Facebook dispute.

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating five shootings that took place on Oct 6, including one where a man fired into a group of people over a Facebook dispute.

Man Shoots into Group of People over Facebook Dispute

Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 7:50 p.m. on October 6 in the 4200 block of W. Lancaster Avenue. An argument regarding a Facebook feud erupted into a physical fight.
During the fight, a suspect fired several gunshots into the group. The victim, a 19-year-old man, was struck by the gunfire. He was conveyed to a local hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department and is expected to survive. MPD is currently seeking the suspect.

Man Fatally Shot in Moving Vehicle

Milwaukee Police are investigating a homicide that happened around 2:30 p.m. on October 6 in the 2400 block of N. 32nd Street. An adult male was a passenger inside a vehicle when he was shot by a suspect in another vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead. MPD continues to seek a motive and search for suspect(s) in this case.

Man Shot Over Vehicle Dispute

Milwaukee Police responded to the 5300 block of N. 83rd Street around 10:30 p.m. on October 6 for a report of a shooting. Two subjects had become involved in a dispute over a vehicle. During the dispute, the suspect retrieved a gun and shot the victim. The 25-year-old male victim was conveyed to the hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening gunshot injury. MPD continues to search for the suspect.

Man Shot in Moving Car Drives Himself to Hospital

Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting on Milwaukee’s West Side. A 28-year-old man arrived at a local hospital suffering from a non-fatal graze wound. The victim states he was driving in the 3500 block of W. Center Street around 11:30 p.m. on October 6 when an unknown subject fired several gunshots at his vehicle. After receiving the graze wound he drove himself to a local hospital. MPD is currently searching for the suspect.

Man Shot on Milwaukee's South Side

Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 8:15 p.m. on October 6 in the 1800 block of S. Pearl Street. The initial investigation reveals that the victim, a 25-year-old man, was shot after being confronted by a possible known subject. The victim was conveyed to the hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. MPD continues to seek a motive and search for the suspect.
