Milwaukee Shooting Leaves One Dead, One Injured; City Has Seen 103 Homicides in 2016

Police are investigating a shooting that happened on Thursday, September 22nd, around 5:55 p.m. in the 2900 block of N. Palmer Street.

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened on Thursday, September 22nd, around 5:55 p.m. in the 2900 block of N. Palmer Street.

A 53-year old Milwaukee man was shot and was transported to a local hospital where he died. A second victim, a 23-year old Milwaukee man, also suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing and MPD continues to seek suspects and determine a motive.

"The neighborhood is changing for some reason. These neighbors moving in -- people we don't know," said Robert and Alberta Roy to reporters from FOX 6, who were on the scene Thursday. As time passed, crowds grew at the scene Thursday. Some claimed to be family members looking for answers -- but there were few given, FOX 6 reported.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's homicide tracker, Milwaukee has suffered 103 total homicides in 2016.
