How do I sign up for an account in the Citizen Self Service Portal?

Go to the Citizen Self Service Portal. Look for the "log in" icon in the upper right. Register for a new account.

Once you're logged in, you will need to link a water account. To link a water account, you will need your old account number (which can be found on a past water bill) and house number. If you know your old account number, you can look up your new account number online. If you do not know your old account number, contact the Water Business Office: water@wauwatosa.net or (414) 479-8963.

Ways to pay a water bill

  • Returning the enclosed envelope with your check, including your account and customer numbers
  • Using bill pay through your bank
  • Pay online
    • Direct debit, recurring credit card, or one-time payment options available
    • There are no longer separate convenience fees

When is my bill due?

Bills are sent out quarterly on or before the 1st of the month. Typically, water bills are due on the 20th of the month. For customers receiving a bill in November 2020, there is a slight delay in the mailing of water bills. Customers will still have 20 days from when they receive a bill to pay the water bill.
