North Ave. Lane Closures Began March 1

WAUWATOSA, WI — As of March 1, contractors are performing repair work on the North Ave bridges located west of Menomonee River Parkway.

East-bound traffic will be reduced to one lane for the duration of the project. This project is expected to take two to three months depending on weather. West-bound traffic will not be affected.

The project involves the installation of new sidewalk and barrier walls. The existing limestone face will be removed and salvaged for possible reuse during the scheduled full scale bridge replacement in 5 to 10 years.
