Police Looking for Man Accused of Punching Child's Mother, Dragging Her By Car
An incident at a family gathering in a Wauwatosa park July 10 has police looking for a Milwaukee man accused of injuring their child's mom.

WAUWATOSA -- Police are looking for a Milwaukee man accused of punching the mother of his child in the face and dragging her along side a moving car as he was trying to leave a Wauwatosa park.
Wauwatosa police were dispatched to Madison Park on July 10 on a report of a fight. According to Nelson's criminal complaint, he tried to leave the scene of a family event at the park when he became embroiled in a disagreement with the mother of his child as they were putting the child in the car.
According to the complaint, Nelson then punched the mother twice in the head. Police say Nelson got in the car with the child and tried to drive away, but the mother reached into the car to try to stop him from leaving.

Police say the mother was dragged along side the car as Nelson accelerated the vehicle, eventually knocking the mother to the ground causing scrapes to her legs and feet.
According to an eyewitness, Nelson eventually stopped the vehicle and allowed the mother to take their child with her.

Ronnie J. Nelson, 37, Milwaukee has been charged with 2nd-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety and misdemeanor battery, and could face more than 5 years behind bars if he is convicted.
