Police Shoot, Kill Armed Robbery Suspect Who Fired at Officers
An armed robbery suspect is dead this morning after exchanging gun fire with local police following an early-morning incident.

WEST ALLIS, WI — An armed robbery suspect is dead this morning after exchanging gun fire with local police following an early-morning incident.
According to West Allis police, this morning, at approximately 1:15am, a West Allis Police Officer attempted to stop an auto which was involved in an Armed Robbery of a business a few minutes earlier.
The traffic stop occurred in the 6100 block of West Burhham. A suspect in the auto immediately fired a weapon at the West Allis Officer, fortunately not striking the Officer.

Several neighboring police departments responded to a mutual aid request. Several minutes later, the suspect was located hiding near a closed business in the area of 60th and Beloit.
Officers from the West Allis and New Berlin Police Departments discharged their weapons at the suspect, and he was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene.

No officers were struck by gunfire or injured. A large police presence remains at several different scenes in the area, but there are no longer any suspects in this area which we are seeking.
