Topics this week during city meetings include:

• Committee of the Whole (April 6, 5:15 pm) will participate in Nurturing Diversity Partners' training program led by Reggie Jackson – The Hidden Impact of Segregation & Wauwatosa’s local history
• Common Council (April 6, 7:30 pm) will discuss:
  • prohibiting truck traffic on 111th, 112th, 113th, 114th, and 115th Streets south of Blue Mound Road
  • allowing sales of liquor or wine, not in its original container, by licensed businesses for off premises consumption
  • extending the use of face coverings in the City of Wauwatosa to June 16, 2021
  • reconsidering the vote related to 11320 West Blue Mound Road for an eating establishment with additional conditions, under suspension of the rules
  • approving fireworks permits on June 5, June 26, and August 14, 2021 at the Blue Mound Golf & Country Club
  • removing parking on a portion of 68th St and adding bicycle lanes to 68th St

The Common Council passed a resolution that all citizen committees, standing council committees, and Common Council meetings are to be held in virtual format through June 1, 2021. This means there will be no in-person attendance at city hall during meetings.
