Retired federal agent seeking specialized martial arts instruction

I am a 60-year old retired federal officer with a martial arts background (1st Dan, Karate & Kempo). I am seeking a Wauwatosa area martial arts studio that offers age appropriate instruction.

My availability will be one day per week, so I am not seeking systems that incorporate lengthy, sophisticated form work; the system must be easily absorbed and reasonably street applicable in common self defense scenarios.

Potential systems of interest would include standing Aikido/Chin Na, Hsing-I, Bagua, Systema and Wing Chun. This is not an all inclusive list, just examples of disciplines of potential interest.

I have shoulder and lower back issues, so I need to avoid systems that will exacerbate those old, chronic injuries. Systems that emphasize throwing and arm wrenching techniques likely won't work for me. I'm not fond of grappling.

I don't break with my hands and can no longer execute high kicking techniques, which likely knocks most Korean systems out of the running.

My primary focus will be age appropriate exercise, practical self defense and overall wellness promotion into old age. *Please note that I am not interested in Taijiquan, having tried it several times and found it not practical for street usage without years of practice.

Cost will be a factor, as I'm a retiree, so lengthy contracts and high fees won't fly.
