Road Closure Friday Will Create Detour In Wauwatosa

WAUWATOSA, WI — Motorists in Wauwatosa will need to contend with another detour this week as road construction nears completion on a stretch of W. State St.

According to city officials, on Friday, Oct. 13, State Street will close between 74th Street and Wauwatosa Ave. as workers lay the final layer of asphalt on this stretch of road.

Traffic will be detoured around the closure using Wauwatosa Ave., Milwaukee Ave., and 68th Street. The city will put up signs in the area alerting motorists to the road closure and detour.

The closure will take place on Saturday, Oct. 14 if the weather prevents construction on Friday.
