WAUWATOSA, WI — In an era where retail store are shuttering, count Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH in Wauwatosa as the latest one.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, the company will be closing Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, 11500 W. Burleigh St. resulting in 39 employees losing their jobs.

Information released by the company indicated that the store closure was brought to store employees on June 10, and that employee separations are expected to take place either on or before Sep. 30. The store closing affects all staff and management positions, the store officials said in the letter.

According to a Milwaukee Business Journal report, the store is located in the Mayfair Collection. Retail center Tim Blum said he was considering a replacement store from a pool of about six retailers.
