Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disorder that affects mostly the lungs but also the pancreas, liver, kidneys, and intestine. Long-term issues include difficulty breathing and coughing up mucus as a result of frequent lung infections. Different people may have different degrees of symptoms.

There is no cure for CF so any donations made Saturday or at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation are go to help people who are fighting the disease every day.

Bella Banaszynski, 8, of Wauwatosa was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when she was 5 days old. Her life is made up of hours of breathing treatments a week as well as doctor visits with CF Specialists (about every 3 months) but she is is a very active 8 year old!

She is an athlete and doesn't let CF hold her back from anything she wants to try. She is a star student, in girl scouts, soccer, baseball, ice skating and has completed two 5K runs!

Your shopping purchases and donations help people like Bella as well as providing the funding to find better treatments and continue the research to find a cure.
