"Stuff the Truck" Toy Drive

SaintA, a 164-year-old human services agency, and JCI Greater Milwaukee, a young professionals group, are holding a “Stuff the Truck” holiday gift drive for 2,400 children in need who are served by the agency. Many are in or have been in foster care. Most have suffered abuse and neglect.

Holidays may not be a happy time for them.

Unwrapped new toys or gift cards valued at $15 or less will be collected Friday, Nov. 28, (Black Friday) from 6 a.m.-3 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 29, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Dave and Buster’s, Mayfair Road just south of North Avenue.

Gifts are needed for boys and girls, from infants through teenagers.

Collection canisters also will be at Dave and Buster’s and the Beulah Brinton Community Center, in Bay View, until Dec. 5. Donors also can drop toys off or send monetary donations to SaintA, 8901 W. Capitol Drive, Milwaukee 53222. Checks should be made out to SaintA, with “Toy Drive” in the memo line.
