Track Wauwatosa Fall Leaf Pick-Up Via Live Map

WAUWATOSA, WI — Wauwatosa residents hoping to rake leaves and garden waste to the curb for fall pick-up can now keep track of the fall pick-up process through a live map on the city's website.

According to city officials, the first day residents can rake leaves and garden waste to the curb is Saturday, Oct. 14. the last day of pick-up will be Sunday, Nov. 19 or later if weather permits.

During the fall leaf pick-up period, the city will make three passes through all of Wauwatosa's neighborhoods. Officials are encouraging Wauwatosa residents to use the city's interactive map to view the projected times that cleanup crews will be in the area.

Residents can click on their home district on the map to learn when the next estimated leaf pick-up will be, and the last estimated date when residents can rake their leaves and garden waste to the curb.

For the most accurate and up to date leaf collection information, officials say residents should to check the map after 4 p.m. each day.

Leaf Pickup recommendations:

Rake only leaves and soft plant material to the curb. Branches and other woody material significantly slow down the composting process. Yard waste can still be brought into the city's drop-off center for a $5 per-load charge, or be picked up at the curb for a fee.

There are a few areas of the City that have street paving or road projects that are wrapping up. Do not rake leaves into the street until the last coat of asphalt is applied.
