Wauwatosa Approves Mayfair Collection Upgrade
Officials said the new project would accommodate up to 750 additional residential units and 360,000 square feet of corporate office space.

WAUWATOSA, WI -- An agreement has been struck with a developer and city officials on how to proceed with a massive upgrade for the Mayfair Collection, a retail development located near Highway 41/45 and W. Burleigh Street in Wauwatosa.
The Mayfair Collection is a 69-acre mixed-use development that opened in April 2014, and is currently anchored by Whole Foods, Nordstrom Rack, Saks Off 5TH, DSW among others.
Developers say the terms of the agreement outlines the creation of seven development sites, which can accommodate up to 750 additional residential units and 360,000 square feet of corporate office space.

The terms of the agreement between HSA Commercial Real Estate, a Chicago-based full-service real estate firm, and Wauwatosa officials calls for the demolition of warehouse buildings on the interior of the 69-acre site, as well as the extension of roads needed to support the development of future residential and office buildings.
According to a Milwaukee Business Journal report, new construction would begin only after more than $20 million in site preparation work is completed

Demolition and site work are scheduled to begin this summer, with the pad-ready development sites available as soon as spring 2020.
