Wauwatosa Police Nab Home Burglary Duo Casing House on 74th Street

Wauwatosa police arrested two men accused of attempting multiple burglaries in Wauwatosa and also in Milwaukee in October.

WAUWATOSA -- Wauwatosa police arrested to men accused of attempting multiple burglaries in Wauwatosa and also in Milwaukee in October.

Suspects Larry Griffin and Fred Hannible face two counts of felony burglary, felony theft, and two counts of conspiracy to commit burglary.

If convicted on each of the charges, they face up to 22-and-a-half years behind bars on the felony charges against them.

According to their criminal complaint, the vehicle they were driving - a Silver Pontiac Bonneville, had been spotted at the scene of several burglaries or burglary attempts.

Police say the two men were caught casing a house in Wauwatosa in late October.

Here is the rundown of Griffin's and Hannible's accusations according to their criminal complaint.

Oct. 13: Milwaukee

A black Samsung 55-inch television was reported missing after the suspects broke a glass window to gain entry into a home on the 2400 block of N. 54th St. in Milwaukee. A silver Pontiac was reported observed fleeing the scene.

Oct. 17: Wauwatosa

The screen was cut and the glass to a rear bedroom window had been shattered as the suspects entered a home on the 2400 block of N. 63rd St. in Wauwatosa. A 47-inch LG television, a 32 inch Samsung television; a black Direct TV DVR; a black Play Station 3 with one controller; a white Xbox with two controllers; a Bose wireless speaker; and a Sony DVD player were all reported stolen.

Oct. 21: Wauwatosa

The suspect's silver Pontiac was observed at the scene of another burglary, this time on the 2600 block of N. 67th St. in Wauwatosa. When the suspects were observed in the area by area residents, they left the scene.

A short time later, they were observed at a residence on the 2900 block of N. 74th st. at the scene of another possible burglary. That's when Wauwatosa police moved in to pin the getaway car along the side of the road. After a short foot chase, the suspects were arrested.
