Wauwatosa Police Need Your Help Tracking Down Armed Robbery, Carjacking Suspects

Police say two suspects were last seen trying to steal a second vehicle after abandoning the first; also responsible for robbery, burglary.

WAUWATOSA - The Wauwatosa Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying two individuals
involved in a street robbery, eluding police and burglary to a bank.

May 30 at 1:50am, the Wauwatosa Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery (weapon implied) in the 6700 block of Milwaukee Ave. The suspects fled in a stolen 2004 Jeep Liberty WI plate 651-PKU. The suspects were captured a short time later on video surveillance in the area trying to use the victim’s credit card.

May 30 at 1:13pm, a Wauwatosa Police Officer attempted to stop the same Jeep Liberty from the earlier robbery. The suspect(s) fled from police and a short pursuit ensued. The Jeep was not located.

May 31 at 2:56am, the Wauwatosa Police Department responded to a window smash burglary at UW Credit union, 6510 W. State St. Video surveillance shows that the same Jeep and, likely, the same suspects were involved.

June 1 at approximately 10:00am, the stolen Jeep Liberty was recovered in the 8200 block of W. Grantosa Ave. Four suspects were observed by a resident abandoning the Jeep and attempting to steal another vehicle (unsuccessfully).

Suspect #1 is described as a male/black, 14-16 years old, 5’05” tall, 120-140 lbs., short hair with small side part. He was wearing a dark colored zip up sweatshirt with red lettering (Possibly WISCONSIN) and red inside the hood, tan shorts.

Suspect #2 is described as a male/black, 14-16 years old, 5’06” to 5‘09” tall, 130-140 lbs., taller afro style hair. He was wearing a blue t-shirt and camouflage pants.
