  • Committee of the Whole (December 1, 7:00 pm) will discuss a resolution supporting City of Wauwatosa front line workers and volunteer board and commission members
  • Common Council (December 1, 7:30 pm) will:
    • Consider the appointment of Robert Gustafson to the position of Alderperson for the Fifth District
    • Consider approving the capital budget
    • Consider a request from the Wauwatosa Community Development Authority for fund transfer from the Redevelopment Reserve Fund for the purposes of redeveloping certain properties within the City of Wauwatosa
    • Extend a resolution to continue meetings in a virtual format until March 2, 2021 or until alternative conditions are met
    • Discuss an amendment to remove parking restrictions in front of 615 N 79th St
    • Approve installation of bike lanes on Grantosa Dr and Congress St between N 100th and N 92nd St.
  • Police and Fire Commission (December 2, 5:00 pm) will conduct interviews of candidates for Wauwatosa Police Officer
  • Equity and Inclusion (December 3, 6:00 pm) will discuss election of officers, October 7-12 weekend activities and recommendations, police data review, and citizen inquiries
  • Board of Zoning Appeals (December 3, 6:00 pm) will hear a request for a variance to the street side setback for a fence at 7208 W. Garfield Avenue

Virtual Meetings

The Common Council passed a resolution that all citizen committees, standing council committees, and Common Council meetings are to be held in virtual format through December 1, 2020. This means there will be no in-person attendance at city hall during meetings.

Budget Schedule

We are in the process of developing the operating and capital budgets. Our operating budget represents day-to-day expenses, wages, utilities, and purchases of items intended to last less than a year. The capital budget includes infrastructure, city property, and long-term equipment purchases.

  • October 20: Financial Affairs will discuss the Library, Development/TIF, and Debt Service
  • October 27: Financial Affairs will discuss the Police and Finance Departments
  • October 29: Financial Affairs will discuss Public Works, Information Systems, Amendments, and budget adoption
  • November 5: Common Council will hold a public hearing on the 2020 Operating and Capital Budgets
  • November 10: Financial Affairs will discuss the Capital Budget
  • November 17: Common Council will consider adopting the budget
  • November 24: Financial Affairs will discuss the Capital Budget
  • December 1: Common Council will consider adopting the Capital Budget

These city meetings will be held virtually via Zoom. The Common Council passed a resolution that all citizen committees, standing council committees, and Common Council meetings are to be held in virtual format through December 1, 2020. This means there will be no in-person attendance at city hall during meetings.
