Wauwatosa School Of Music Announces Summer Camps

Classes are available in a wide variety of music styles including rock, pop, blues, jazz, classical, country and rhythm and blues.

WAUWATOSA, WI — The Wauwatosa School of Music has just announced its Summer 2018 camps.

Victor Campbell of the Wauwatosa School of Music says that each student receives a unique lesson plan designed to meet individual goals with opportunities to play concerts and recitals over the summer months. Classes are available in a wide variety of music styles including rock, pop, blues, jazz, classical, country and rhythm and blues.

All ages and ability levels are welcome to participate, he said.

  • June 11 to June 15 Intro to Musical Theatre ( with Kirstin Roble)
  • June 18 to June 22 Drum & Bass Camp (with Victor Campbell)
  • June 28 Sound Basics-ages 7-11 (with Riles Walsh)
  • July 9 to July 12 Applied Recording Ages 12+ (with Riles Walsh)
  • July 16 to July 20 The Barrelhouse Classic Blues Camp (with Zosia Holden)
  • July 30 to August 3 Advanced Musical Theatre (with Kirstin Roble)

Cory Tcheng, founder and director of the Wauwatosa School of music, and his staff of Victor Campbell drums and percussion, Kristin Robles Vocals and Piano, Zosia Holden Vocals and Piano, Riles Walsh Piano and Music recording, Katie Koestler Voice and piano,Logan Penington drums, Samantha Haake piano, flute and voice, Praneeth Madoori vocals and Viola, and Nathan Pflughoeft, Guitar all hold university or conservatory training.

Tcheng has been teaching guitar since 1995 and has taught hundreds of students of all ages and levels. He taught and performed in the Chicago area teaching both the Academy of music and art and upbeat school of music. Prior to 2006, he taught and performed in Los angels and Orange County.
