Weekend Traffic Alert: Road Closures in Wauwatosa

News from the Wauwatosa Police Department: As part of the State Street project WE Energies has been installing the new gas main in the sidewalk along the north side of State St. This week they uncovered some abandoned underground storage tanks.

Those tanks have been inspected and cleared for removal which will start at 9:00 a.m. Friday April 29th through Wednesday May 4th. During this time State Street will be closed from Wauwatosa Avenue to Harwood with a detour around the Village to Wauwatosa and Harmonee.

During this construction work Harwood, Underwood and State St from Harwood to Harmonee will remain open.
