Work As A Poll Worker Or Central Count On Election Day In Wauwatosa

Poll workers are essential to running every election. They help set up the polls, register voters, maintain poll books, and issue ballots. To be a poll worker in Wauwatosa, you must live in Milwaukee County, be a U.S. Citizen, have resided in the election district for 10 days, and be at least 16 years old. If you're between 16-18 years old, you must have written approval from a parent or guardian and live within the area of the polling place in which you serve. You can download a poll worker application and submit it to the City Clerk's office.

There are also positions called "Central Count." These workers are paired in teams of two to process absentee ballots on Election Day. A Central Count worker must be 18 years old, a Wauwatosa resident, and a U.S. Citizen. The pay is $12/hour, and shifts are 7 am – 3 pm or 3 pm to 11 pm on August 11, 2020 (Election Day).
