33 Years for Man Who Fired at Glendale Police Officer After Carjacking

GLENDALE — The man who got into a shootout with a Glendale police officer was given his sentence today in court, but not before he had to watch the near-tragic events unfold on-screen in the courtroom.
Among the people who watched the police dash-cam video was the officer he nearly struck, Glendale Police Officer Eric Guse.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's report, a judge sentenced Deandre Willie Wise to 33 years in prison Thursday over a shootout with a Glendale police officer that started with the carjacking of a Porsche during a dealer test drive last August.

Here is officer Guse's response after the sentencing hearing:
Wise, 29, had pleaded guilty to attempted homicide for shooting at Guse after he led the officer on a chase through Milwaukee following a carjacking of a Porsche during a test drive. The shooting took place near a playground last August.
