50 Summer Lifeguards Sought in Milwaukee County

Milwaukee County Parks are seeking at least 50 strong swimmers for summer lifeguard positions. Next trainings are April 25, May 1 and May 6.

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — Milwaukee County Parks are seeking at least 50 strong swimmers for summer lifeguard positions at beaches, pools and aquatic parks.

To be considered for a lifeguard position, candidates must attend a free training session at Pulaski Pool (2701 S. 16th St.) and must be able to swim 100 meters in less than 1 min. 45 sec. No pre-registration is necessary."

As a lifeguard, you will deal with life-saving issues and be responsible for the safety and well-being of thousands of people on a daily basis." Says Jodi Pritzlaff, Recreation & Aquatic manager at Milwaukee County Parks. " It's an ideal job for anyone who wants to make good money while spending the summer outdoors."

Lifeguards must be at least 16 years old by July 2017 and be in good physical condition. Lifeguard pay starts at $10.36/hour.

The next lifeguard training session starts on Tuesday, April 25 at 7pm at Pulaski Indoor Pool at 16th & Cleveland. Additional sessions will begin on May 1 and May 6. Details of all training sessions are available at http://county.milwaukee.gov/Lifeguard8066.htm
