Laura Allaway, a 1999 graduated of Whitefish Bay High, ran and completed The Northern Lights 300, The Copper Basin 300 and the Tustumena 200 Races in Alaska. She is now qualified to run the Iditarod in 2014. Laura now lives in Fairbanks and works at Trail Breaker Kennels, which is own by David Monson, whose wife, Susan Butcer was the only woman to win the Iditarod four times.
