Barrington Man Dies In Ozaukee County Crash

The Saukville Police Department, Cedarburg Police Department, and Cedarburg Emergency management assisted with the crash.​

OZAUKEE COUNTY, WI —A 57-year-old man has died after authorities say the motorcycle he was riding was involved in a crash on Highway I early Monday morning.

The Ozaukee County Sheriff's office says deputies were called out to the area of County Highway I and State Highway 33 at just after 2 a.m. Monday on a report of a motorcycle crash.

Authorities say a 57-year-old Barrington, Illinois man was riding a 1997 Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on Highway I as he approached Highway 33. While attempting to navigate the curve south of the intersection, authorities say he crossed over the southbound lane, traveled onto the west gravel shoulder, and lost control at the intersection.

Authorities say the motorcycle slid on its side, throwing the rider. He was not wearing a protective helmet and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Saukville Police Department, Cedarburg Police Department, and Cedarburg Emergency management assisted with the crash.
