Berkeley Blvd. Road Projects Underway, to be Completed This Fall

The Department of Public Works provided a road construction update on Berkeley Blvd.

WHITEFISH BAY -- The Department of Public Works provided a road construction update on Berkeley Blvd. The two projects involved on this road are underway and is expected to be completed this fall. Here are the two updates from the department:

Upper Berkeley Boulevard (6200-6300)

Work is proceeding on the sump pump drain line installation on upper Berkeley Boulevard on both sides of the roadway under the curb. During this sump pump line installation, the roadway will be excavated and rough graded. Curb, gutter, driveways and sidewalk replacement work is then scheduled to begin the week ofSept. 26.

Lower Berkeley Boulevard (6000-6100)
The parkway in this section has been restored with black dirt and sod. Advance Construction will be working with their concrete paving subcontractor to begin preparation work for the new pavement. They are scheduling this work to begin ahead of schedule in late September. The new concrete pavement will be installed and cured 1/3 the distance at a time from Montclaire Avenue to School Road to reduce the walking distance for the residents during the concrete pavement cure time of 5-7 days per section.

Project Completion is scheduled for October 31, 2016 per original project specifications
