Could Someone Help Me Drive?

Between the buses and slow drivers, Wilson Drive is creating all kinds of problems during Jess' daily commute downtown.

Since I work downtown and drop Syd at daycare on the east side, I'm constantly trying to find a faster way to get to my destinations.

Recently I've started taking Santa Monica Boulevard to Wilson Drive to get to Capitol Drive. Since there's generally a lot of traffic on Wilson Drive, I'm thinking that many of my fellow Whitefish Bay residents also use this route to get down to Capitol Drive. So, could someone explain to me what the driving etiquette is on Wilson Drive? It seems like every time I drive that street, I'm a little confused on what other people are doing.

Last week a bus was just getting going from the bus stop, merging back into traffic.  I slowed a little to let him in and he kept driving in the parking lane going the same speed as me.  What is one to do in this situation?  Pass the bus or stay behind?

At least once a week I notice that I end up following someone who is doing below the speed limit. Did you know the speed limit is 30 mph? It is. I double checked. For me, that means drive 35. It doesn’t bother me if you are doing exactly 30. That’s totally cool. But why must you drive 20?  So, what do you do when someone driving in front of you is doing below the speed limit?

Tell me friends, what do you do when someone is driving 20 mph in the parking lane?  Do you pass?  Do you patiently follow behind slowly sipping your coffee?
