Holy Family Players Present Guy and Dolls Jr. May 17-19

Holy Family Players will open the curtain for it's 20th performance May 17-19 as middle school students present Guys and Dolls, Jr.

The Holy Family Parish School Players will present three performances of Guys and Dolls Jr. May 17 – 19 at Holy Family School. With its unforgettable songs and a cast of gamblers, gals and gangsters, Guys and Dolls Jr. is the abridged version of the classic and beloved Broadway production.  The Holy Family Players, celebrating its 20th production this year, is comprised of middle school students (grades 6-8), at the White Fish Bay Catholic School.

Set in the hustle and bustle of prohibition-era New York City, Guys and Dolls Jr. introduces audience members to Sarah Brown, the repressed "mission doll," out to reform the sinners of Time Square; Sky Masterson, the smooth-talking gambler who woos her on a bet and ends up falling in love; Adelaide, the sneezing nightclub performer whose condition is brought on by the fact she's been engaged to the same man for 14-years; and Nathan Detroit, her devoted fiancé, desperate as always to find a spot for his infamous floating dice game.

Guys and Dolls Jr. is based on "The Idyll of Sarah Brown" and characters by Damon Runyon, features a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, and the famous score by Frank Loesser that includes such songs as "Luck Be A Lady," "Sit Down You're Rocking The Boat," "If I Were A Bell," and "A Bushel and a Peck."
