Antibiotics, like amoxicillin, have been prescribed for years to help dogs and cats combat infection. 

Unfortunately, the “occasional” antibiotic usage has become commonplace, and as a result, our pets have to contend with super-bugs, like MRSA.  However, as much as we encourage a natural approach when possible, some infections still require antibiotic treatment.

What is amoxicillin?

            *Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic with low side effects.

            *It is used as a first-line antibiotic in the treatment of many infections, such as eye infections, kidney infections and ear infections.

How can I prevent my pet from having to resort to a more powerful antibiotic?

*Be sure to administer a full course of antibiotics as prescribed by your veterinarian.

*If a full course of antibiotics is not given to your pet, it may start the creation of more resistant bacteria.
