Girls Cross Country Teams Take Two Firsts

The Bay Varsity and JV girls dominated the ten cross country teams entered in the Vanden Avond Invitational held in Kletzsch Park Thursday night.

On the Varsity side, Emma-Lisa Murphy finished first for the Blue Dukes in 14:50 – a record time for the course.  Emma Fallone (4^th, 15:50), Elise Hotz (5^th, 15:51), Alana Blegen (9^th, 15:59), Sara Coffey (10^th, 16:01), Sydney Wellenstein (12^th, 16:11), Emily Garcia (24^th, 17:05), and Madeline Crider (27^th, 17:12) surged to the front ranks of the 78 runners in the race, enabling the Whitefish Bay girls to finish 36 points ahead of the second place Wisconsin Lutheran team.

The JV girls took first place among the ten JV teams in the meet.  Bay runners ran in a pack and took six of the top eight places in the meet resulting in an astounding 80 point margin of victory.  JV runners and their times are as follows:
