Jewish Community Center Given 'All Clear' after Evacuation

Strange odor detected, North Shore Fire tended to people who suffered apparent discomfort.

The Jewish Community Center was evacuated and closed Thursday afternoon because of a strange odor in the building. Later in the day it had been given the "all clear" by authorities to re-enter the building.

Some people at the center experienced some irritation and coughing. Although the building has been given the "all clear," the cause for the discomforting odor had yet to be determined Thursday.
