A traffic stop led to a drug and conceal carry charge for a young man. A BMW was stolen after the suspect found the keys inside.

On April 10, Whitefish Bay police stopped a gray Buick in the 1500 block of E. Hampton Rd. for a speed violation and due to the registered owner having a suspended drivers license.

The 19-year-old driver out of Milwaukee was taken into custody for Operating W/ Restricted Controlled Substance, Possession of THC and CCW. James was transported to Columbia St. Mary's-Milwaukee for a legal blood draw and then to the police department where he was cited and booked.

Passengers contacted a sober, responsible party to pick them up. Vehicle left legally parked and secure. A stun gun and 0.8 grams of marijuana were located inside the vehicle.

Whitefish Bay police responded to the 700 block of E. Lexington on April 11 for a Motor Vehicle Theft.

The female owner stated that sometime between 7:30 p.m. on April 10 and 6 a.m. April 11, an unknown suspect stole a silver BMW X5. The vehicle, valued at approximately $6,000, was unlocked with a spare key inside.
Milwaukee police attempted to stop the stolen vehicle 38th and Wright, however the driver fled.
