Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges

A 54-year-old Whitefish Bay man was stopped by police on the 5000 block of N. Lake drive for a speed violation just after 1:20 a.m. on Nov. 12.
According to the police report, the man was taken into custody on suspicion of operating while intoxicated, possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia. One-half gram of marijuana and a marijuana pipe were located in the man's vehicle.

A 38-year-old Cudahy woman was arrested on suspicion of OWI-3rd offense after a Whitefish Bay police sergeant located a maroon minivan that had driven off the road on the 4800 block of N. Lake Drive just after 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 12. The woman was transported to the Whitefish Bay police department where a preliminary breath test revealed her blood alcohol concentration to be .15 - nearly double the legal limit.

Whitefish Bay police and fire responded to an apartment on the 500 block of E. Henry Clay St. just after 9 p.m. on Nov. 15 on a report of a drug overdose.
According to the report, a resident took approximately 70 anti-anxiety pills throughout the day to "sleep" because the resident received disturbing news.
An ambulance transported the resident to Columbia St. Mary's in Milwaukee where they were medically cleared. Police transported the resident to a different facility for further treatment.
