Dave Drury leads Whitefish Bay Masters National qualifiers

Five Whitefish Bay Masters swimmers participated in the Senior Olympics swim meet held in Shorewood Saturday, September 13th at the VHE pool. The top 4 finishers in each age group qualify for National Senior Games held in Minneapolis MN July 4-9, 2015.

Dave Drury qualified for Nationals in 3 events winning 55-59 age group in the 100 free, 200 free and 500 free. He set Senior Olympic records in the 100 free (59.59) and the 200 free (2:12.58).

Cheryl Drury qualified in 3 events as well with second place finishes in the 100 free, 200 free and 500 free 50-54 age group.

Jennifer Gruenwald had 4 first place finishes in the 50-54 age group. She finished first in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free and the 500 free.

In the 55-59 age group Laurie Clausen achieved top 4 finishes in the 50 free (3rd)100 free (2nd), 200 free (1st)and the 100IM(2nd).

While Heidi Fischer had top 4 finishes in the 100 free (4th) and 500 free (2nd).

Also from Whitefish Bay Joan Martinie won 3 novice events, the 50 Breast, 100 IM and 100 back.
