Driver Arrested After Nearly Hitting Police Squad: Report

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — Authorities in Whitefish Bay say a 61-year-old Milwaukee man has been arrested and cited after nearly hitting a police squad car on the night of May 11.

According to police logs, the driver was driving on the 400 block of E. Hampton Road just before midnight on May 11 when an officer on patrol saw that the driver nearly struck his squad car, nearly struck the curb and was swerving in and out of his lane.

Police say the man was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while impaired. Police also say the driver was booked, cited and released to a responsible party later that evening.
