LESSON 1: It’s We, The Parents, Who Need To Be Grounded. This lesson invites parents to assess their own level of wellness and wholeness as their first step in creating wellness for their children.

LESSON 2: Tending The Soil. The Parable of the Sower and the Seeds. This lesson discusses some of the essential “nutrients” that will help both parents and children thrive, not just survive.

LESSON 3: Developing Your Voice As A Parent. This lesson asks parents to reflect on the voice they are using as they raise their children. Four parenting voices are discussed, along with the common effects that each voice will have on the development of children.

LESSON 4: Rethinking Discipline. When parents think about discipline they often think in terms of how to best hand out consequences or punishment for their children’s bad behavior.

LESSON 5: Well-Connected Parents. In order for parents to influence their children, they must establish and maintain a strong and stable emotional connection with their children.

LESSON 6: I Will, With God’s Help. The title of this lesson comes from the service for baptism in The Book of Common Prayer. This lesson explores how important it is to turn both to God and to the support and community of other parents, in order to help us be all that we are called to be as parents.

Childcare will be available ($10/session) if enough interest is shown.

To express interest in attending or for more information, please contact Martha Morse Martha_morse@att.net

Attendance at all sessions is NOT required, come renew, refresh, and refocus as you are able.
