Sidewalk Astronomy

Jun 27th – 7:00 p.m. Rings, moons and craters, oh my! Turn your eyes to the South to see Saturn, Mars and the Moon! Don’t miss taking a glimpse of Saturn’s beautiful ring system, or ruddy Mars. Even our moon is a beautiful sight as you gaze upon ancient craters. Summertime showpiece, M13 is also available. This compact cluster contains thousands of stars.

 

July 25th – 7:00 p.m. See the beautiful double star, Alberio, the ghostly Ring Nebula and star cluster M13. You might even get a glimpse of celestial owl, NGC 457! Warm summer nights – perfect for looking for celestial treasures!

August 22th – 7:00 p.m. While you are out shopping this night, stop to take a look through our telescopes.  Some of the summer’s finest celestial objects are on display tonight: the Owl Cluster, M13 the beautiful globular cluster and, the lovely double star Alberio. You might even get to see a planetary nebula, the Ring Nebula.
