
The Wisconsin Singer/Songwriter Series will present its first annual Song Contest Competition featuring 10 finalists from across Wisconsin, and one each from Missouri, Minnesota and Michigan. The competition is open to the public and an admission donation of $5 would be appreciated.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., competition begins at 7:00 pm. An open mic will follow after all finalists have performed. The top 3 winners will be announced that evening. Concessions will be available.
Judges are WPR’s Stephanie Elkins, host of Simply Folk; Paul Edwards, Owner of Trax52 in Mequon, the largest and only Grammy winning recording studio in Wisconsin; Roy Elkins, CEO of Broadjam, Inc., offering music licensing opportunities for songwriters; Tim Wurgler, Program Director for the Wisconsin School Music Association, Nicki Vento-Hallen - Manager @ White House of Music Store in Germantown and Derek Byrne, a manager at at Hal Leonard Publishing, the worlds largest music print publisher. Winners receive studio time, membership to Broadjam, radio airplay, and cash. The top two finishers will open for Cheryl Wheeler the following evening!
